We routinely gather data on the outputs and impact of our services. In the year from April 2023 to March 2024, we:
- Provided support to a total of 87 people from 30 countries;
- Provided 67 people with accommodation;
- Made a total of 725 welfare payments and 85 emergency payments;
- Successfully helped 68 people access legal advice;
- Held 352 casework appointments;
- Helped 19 people move on to Home Office or Local Authority support;
- Saw 4 people secure Leave to Remain whilst on our support.
- Provided 5 families with secure, affordable housing through our pilot Refugee Housing scheme.
As a client-led organisation, we also consistently seek feedback from those we work alongside (for example, through welfare payment sessions, casework sessions and CCG meetings).
Before, I didn't have any energy and the government wanted to take me away from Sheffield. I have a life in Sheffield and you helped me to stay here. Now, I am feeling OK. You took a lot of time to listen to me. I was thinking too much on my own, but you helped me to wake up and believe that I have a life here.
ASSIST is grateful to all the funders and individual supporters that make our work possible, and we look forward to sharing an update on the impact of our work in 2024-25.
