Over two weeks in August, ASSIST organised a consultation project to gather our clients’ views and feedback on our services.
A total of 34 clients from 20 different countries took part in the consultation. Clients were assigned to one of 9 focus groups according to their circumstances (for example, whether or not they are accommodated by ASSIST) and language/s spoken. Five of the nine focus groups were run with the help of Arabic, Kurdish Sorani, Oromo and Tamil interpreters. Clients’ opinions and experiences were gathered on a wide range of topics, including accommodation, financial support and casework.
The findings of this research will guide and inform the development of our services, as well as being a key source of information to help us build our 5 year strategy. We are grateful to all the clients who participated and to Linda Grant for leading the research.
