ASSIST Sheffield is an excellent example of the power of volunteering and enabling volunteers to use their skills. They have highly skilled volunteers in responsible roles leading teams as well as hundreds of volunteers doing bite sized tasks across the year. I can't think of any other organisation with this staffing level that has such a breadth or opportunities and volume of volunteers.
