Phil is the Operations Manager at ASSIST Sheffield. He joined the staff team in 2014 after being a volunteer in the Night Shelter and being impacted by the people forced to use it after being made destitute by Home Office policy. Phil oversees the Resource Team in ASSIST and is responsible for ASSIST’s Office and IT, HR, Finance, Data Protection and Health and Safety. He has a background in youth and community projects and is also a trustee at ASSIST’s partner organisation South Yorkshire Refugee Law and Justice (SYRLJ). As well as working at ASSIST, Phil is a keen runner and considers himself most at home when he’s up a hill somewhere.
