As a Client Support Worker at ASSIST, I collaborate closely with both the client support and accommodation teams to deliver personalised and compassionate assistance to our clients. Since joining ASSIST in July 2023, I've been driven by our collective mission to combat destitution and support individuals navigating the complexities of the asylum system.
My journey to this role began with the completion of my degree in Politics and Sociology in June last year. This academic background, coupled with my practical experience at ASSIST, has honed my ability to address the multifaceted needs of our clients with empathy and effectiveness.
I am happy to be part of such a wonderful team, where we are united in our commitment to empowering individuals. I hope to provide tailored and boundary-aware support that enables our clients to navigate their challenges with dignity and resilience.
Beyond my role at ASSIST, I enjoy being creative, running, and living slowly. This helps inform my approach to supporting others with mindfulness and compassion.
I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the meaningful work of ASSIST and challenge the hostile environment.
